crpercodani Posted June 30, 2009 Share Posted June 30, 2009 Hey everyone, I have tried ideneb 1.3 and 1.4 and have had no luck with 1.4 but 1.3 will load in safe mode where as 1.4 hangs at that "4096 cluster" blah blah. I found 2 install guides for 1.3 on the IQ500 series and the first one (on hijinksinc.com) and it wouldn't work. Another one I found on here does work, but only in safe mode, here it is if you want to see http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=156213 . I did everything he said, except the mv command's, well I did try to but I don't think it worked right because it said "rename /system/library/extensions/NVDAResman.kext to /System/Library/NVDAResman.kext read only file" or something like that. and when i type "exit" to boot the system it starts to but ends up hanging. I will take a pic to show exactly where it hangs. My system is a HP Touchsmart IQ506 with Intel Core 2 Duo T5850 / 2.16 GHz, Chipset type Mobile Intel GM965 Express, 4GB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHZ, 500GB 7200RPM, NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS. If you need anymore info please let me know, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. P.S. I just noticed that in vista my Time & Date settings reset everytime I reboot, I don't know if that has anything to do with why os x hangs after "Cant find host time.apple.com" as you can see in the picture.one pic is normal mode, the other is with cpus=1 -s or just -s. I don't see any other install choices i might need but then again i am new to os x so i could be wrong.
