Just bought an 8gb flash drive, after spending about 16 hours over the last 4 days trying to install any of the distros on my laptop.

Question is this: to do the install from my usb flash drive, do I just copy the ISO file over to the usb? Or do I extract it to the usb?

Thanks for the help, and the abundance of information here, maybe I'll eventually get enough of it together to get the laptop running Leopard! ;)

btw: my setup, if anyone has any tips or advice is:

System Model: HP Pavilion dv6000 (RN910UA#ABA)

Main Board BIOS: Hewlett-Packard F.19 10/03/2006
