jacensolo2001
Just bought an 8gb flash drive, after spending about 16 hours over the last 4 days trying to install any of the distros on my laptop. Question is this: to do the install from my usb flash drive, do I just copy the ISO file over to the usb? Or do I extract it to the usb? Thanks for the help, and the abundance of information here, maybe I'll eventually get enough of it together to get the laptop running Leopard! btw: my setup, if anyone has any tips or advice is: System Model: HP Pavilion dv6000 (RN910UA#ABA) RAM: 1GB Main Board BIOS: Hewlett-Packard F.19 10/03/2006 Processor Description: AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology MK-36 Video: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 Main Board Make/Model/Version Quanta 30B7 65.21 Conexant High Definition Audio Chip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172335-a-quick-how-to-question-on-booting-installs-from-usb/ Share on other sites
