AndyAshworth
Here is my system setup GA-P35-DS3L Audio - ALC888 (fully working with all inputs and outputs) Intel C2D E8400 @ 3ghz ATI HD4850 512mb (working) 4gb corsair 800mhz DDR2 SATA 150gb Maxtor HD SATA 320GB Hitachi HD - Windows Vista Drive RT73 usb wireless (working) SATA DVD RW drive (working) This is my first attempt at installing OS X on my rig. I installed leopard via the retail DVD then did a combo update to 10.5.7 - after lots of false restarts it finally booted into Leopard. AHCI currently off in the bios as when turned on it does not recognise all my drives (it was not on during install which could be part of the problem) I have so far been unable to get shutdown/restart to work consistently - it works about 20-30% of the time. I have tried the psystar fix which didn't work for me. I am unsure as to how to go about using CHUD to compile the other fix and am a little hesitant as it seems to turn of one of my CPU cores - does this mean that my rig will be constantly running with one core only in Leopard. I know this is a total noob question but some help would be appreciated.
