CJerms
Hi again, Now with a retail copy of OS X 10.5 in hand (plus my MacBook Pro's hard drive with same installed), I booted into Boot-132 expecting some success. I popped the install DVD again, and to my dismay had the same issue as trying to boot into my hard drive - we'd get 'Loading Darwin/x86', then the screen would go white (or grey) for a quarter of a second or so and the system would reboot. Putting the bootloader into verbose mode revealed all the kexts were loading fine, and there were no errors that I could see in the brief amount of time one has to see these things. One thing I've noticed on multiple copies of Boot-132 is that it initially says 'System config file... boot.plist not found' before letting you choose your hex code. I don't know if this is normal or could be the problem? System specs are as follows: Xeon W3520, Gigabyte EX58-UD5, 6GB PC12800, GTX 260 Core 216, 2x WD Caviar Black 640GB in RAID 0, Fujitsu 160GB 2.5" (from MacBook Pro), PS/2 mouse and keyboard if this is an issue?. Given I don't have access to a Mac right now (won't even let me boot into the laptop hard drive), are there any other methods I could try. I'd rather not have to download too much as my primary connection is down and I'm running off a hideously expensive mobile broadband stick for now. Any help would be very much appreciated - I'm on the verge of tearing my hair out with how much difficulty even getting to the install stage is causing here!
