InsaneDP
Hey Guys Today I felt like trying to put OS X on my computer, but Im not sure on which 'distro' of OS X to download. I am quite experienced in installing Windows and some kinds of Linux, but this would be my first time playing with OS X. By which 'distro', I meant would iATKOS or iDeneb or something like that be better for me/easier to use. My Specs. AMD Phenom X4 9950 (2.6G Quad Core) GIGABYTE MA78GM-US2H (AMD 780G + SB700 ) 4GB Kingston HyperX (1066) ATI HD3200 (Integrated Graphics) WD 640GB Thanks in advance. Hi were you able to install?? i have the exact motherboard and did a successful install using iPC 10.5.6 the only thing is the on-board video is not working but stuck in resolution 1024x768. I will probably pickup a compatible nvidia video card. I also haven't tested Pata/IDE drives yet and powermanagement sleep does not work. Ethernet works, and firewire works. under custom install i choose the following: *9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel *VIA/SiS/Marvell/SB Chipset Drivers *ALC889A *Realtek R1000 *PowerManagementPackage *Sata Drive Icon Fix (old) *Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 *Shutdown/Restart Fix *Chameleon with SMBIOS/DSDT my specs are: GIGABYTE MA78GM-US2H (AMD 780G + SB700 ) AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition 2gb 533 ram SATA 120gb hdd SATA LG dvd writer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172256-which-os-x-for-me/#findComment-1216887 Share on other sites
