knifeline
installed iATKOS v7 10.5.7 on an HDX 18t without too much problem. Make sure to choose custom install and add in the PS/2 keyboard and mouse kexts and NVDarwin to get full monitor resolution. The only real showstopper was the Intel Pro Wireless 5100. There's no support for that in OS X. I'll probably just swap it out with a Dell 1490 ($15 on ebay) like I did on my last Hackintop. A smaller issue is that sound volume doesn't work yet. It's either full-on or muted. I'll post here when I figure it out. One other issue (and I don't know that this is HDX specific) was that pressing the tilde (~) key was inputting some other character. I fixed this by downloading Ukulele (free) and remapping the key. M1styrX
I have an HDX 18t as well. Never done the hackintosh thing, but giving it a try. Was going to try the Boot132 method. Anybody had success with Snow Leopard yet? Also - It seems as if there will never be drivers for the Intel WiFi 5100/5300 series cards. Are there any geniuses out there working on drivers for these? -M1styrX --====-- HP HDX 18t Intel QX9300 8GB Ram Blu-Ray Read/Write Intel 5100 AGN Windows 7 RC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/172027-hp-hdx-18t/#findComment-1284353 Share on other sites
