TomCom
The HX520 is fine, but it's an old model with only 4 Sata connectors and (too) many molex ones. I think it'll be discontinued soon. My guess is Corsair should release some new HX550W and HX650W later this year, or maybe next, to complete their line-up. Extrastrong_swe
What does people say about E8400? 130 USD to buy, is it worth the money or is the 7000 series as good or a quad? TomCom
E7x00s are almost as good, especially once overclocked. At the same frequency, E8x00 are juste a few percent (sth like 5%) better, and include Virtualization Technology; E7x00 don't. About the Quads, it's a different story: the Q8x00 are not so good and offer poor overclocking capabilities; you'd better buy a Q9xx0. TomCom
DVD Burner, any Sata, but I'd buy a Pioneer or an Optiarc for myself. There are no such thing like a cheap and silent case. Silence costs an arm and a leg. The best you can do is buying a steel case with a door and 120mm fans (or bigger), for example an NZXT Hush (the cheapest case to include noise dumpening), but you'll probably have to swap all fans for really silent ones, like Scythe Slipstreams @ 800RPM (7 to 10€ each).
