Argdis
Hi there! I´ve installed ideneb v 1.4 10.5.6, all the instalation goes well until I restart to boot leopard. I have several problems with the bootloader, I have a "using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" problem which I resolved with the tiger kexts, but the problem still there with an AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement timed out problem... The only way to boot leopard is boot the system from the DVD. But when Leopard it is started I have problems with my soundcard (ALC 660 integrated in the motherborad) and with my wifi card (Atheros 5005 gs, PCI). I want Mac to design websites, so the sound and internet are essentials for me, but at first I want to make run internet. I´ve tried with the IO80211family.kext, but it allways give to me this problem or one like that: bash-3.2# kextload -t airportatheros5424.kext extension airportatheros5424.kext has potential problems: Warnings { "Kext has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style" = true } kextload: extension airportatheros5424.kext appears to be loadable /System/Library/Extensions/System.kext/PlugIns/Unsupported.kext/Unsupported: Undefined in symbol set: _sha1_hardware_hook kextload: loaded version 2.4.1 of module com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily differs from requested version 2.5 kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension airportatheros5424.kext link/load failed for extension airportatheros5424.kext (run kextload with -t for diagnostic output) First of all I want to fixed internet and sound, but I wish somebody could help me too with my boots problems. sendblink23
FIRST REMOVE & DELETE that Kext that you added above(IO80211family.kext), REPAIR PERMISSIONS & REBOOT As of Atheros... i think is the same as 5005g here... run this package to install it: http://www.mediafire.com/?vtvrfzdit1p Afterwards REBOOT at boot run with first time: -f -v Head to System, and Turn ON Airport, If it works GREAT =), if not buuu my bad... do you have Ethernet Lan.. whats the name so that I could try to help As for sound... do you have sound... or you don't have any sound at all (test everything, from speakers to headphones & mic) I'll try and search for your exact ALC 660 that you need, I'm sure there is a thread dedicated to Sound Drivers *HDA Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171792-problems-with-airport/#findComment-1183105 Share on other sites
Argdis
Thanks for the response sendblink23, but... I´ve tried all you say to me for three times, step by step, and my IO80211family.kext has dessapeared... I´ve installed the pkg you told me to install and nothing happened. My LAN is a Broadcom AC131 10/100 Lan Phy, but I´ve disabled it, so it can´t give me any problems... I don´t know what to do now, I´ve tried to install my sound (with the kext which must work) and my wifi card and nothing work. My motherboard is an ECS671T-M, here are the especifications http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Products/...44&LanID=11 What can I do to make it run? Nothing works and I´m really disappointed, I´ve been since April trying to install and I can´t make it work.. Any ideas?
