(o.REAPER.o) Posted June 20, 2009 Share Posted June 20, 2009 I will try to be as explicit as possible in this topic... yeah im a total noob, but we all have to start somewhere. 1 - The images I have iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 (tried) iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6 Leo4all v3 Leo4all v4.1 (tried) Kalyway 10.5.2 iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Universal PPF5 (Final) 2 - My system CPU : AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ MB : Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 MEM : Corsair XMS2 1Gbx4 GPU : XFX Gforce 9600GT(512M) Disks : 80Gig (IDE) Pri Master 120Gig (IDE) Sec Master 320Gig (SATA) DVD : TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203P (SATA) Now, I have read a good few topics and even searched a few and got mixed responses as to my setup and hardware, but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be a great start. As far as I can tell my cpu, mb and gpu are all compatible in some way or another. I have tried 2 of the images above with no joy and I have been at this for 3 days now. Do I have to do anything to any of the images to make them compatible. The ones I have tried, I used all the boot options with ie. -x -v -f -legacy platform= rd= etc. I havn't even got to the installation screen yet, and I have even tried them all in VMware and not one has loaded yet. My 80Gig is my vista disk, the 120Gig is partitioned with data and empty HFS+, and the 320Gig is partitioned with data and empty NTFS. If I have to alter or add anything to any images could that be explained. I have seen different bootloaders and kernels, but dont know how to use them. I just put the disk in and the darwin bootloader starts and I just work from that. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I know this is a lot of info to take in, but any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm starting to lose hope. If any pics are required I will be happy to provide them. I just got rid of the iPC image because it didnt work... but i will give it another try.
