First, there is more than one version of Pentium 4 CPU. There is the Prescott which has SSE3 support and the Northwood which does not. This is important. If you don't know which you have you can use a program called CPU-Z find out. Search Google for CPU-Z to get a link to it. Leopard will run on a P4 if you use a modified kernel. If you are installing a patched distribution like iAtkos it will come with a patched kernel. The reason the iAtkos install DVD is so much smaller than the Apple DVD is that they strip out things like PowerPC code, X11 and maybe some printer drivers or language packs to get the size doen to a single layer DVD size. Many people don't have Double Layer DVD burners and need the single layer version. Good luck with your project. Beerkex'd
You must use the Voodoo kernel, it can emulate the SSE3 instruction set on an SSE2 CPU. http://code.google.com/p/xnu-dev/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/171582-install-mac-leopard-on-pentium-4/#findComment-1186090 Share on other sites
