On last install (me almost final), used iPC OSX86 final distro... 1. got base system, and 2. PS2 patches, and 3. Macbookpro SMBIOS Bingo!!! HP DV5 booted up, found internal Broadcom (Bluetooth) chips, and went wireless (woohoo) Used iDeneb v1.4 for IDT sound drivers made some sweet noise... Most events, software & installation went well without any additional hax/wax/patches or twiddles... I have a machine that will make me (one day when I grow up) buy a real MacBook Pro. Yes, I have some sleep/hibernation problems to solve over the next few days, and some USBF reports to consider. In all, it is thanks to the many postings of some fine people that it has been possible to do a clean, pretty, and working install without much worry... it has been a question of discoverung what worked best, and when...until the right combination came about. The secret to finding the right combo has been the going through the many pages that folks here have written, and to their struggles, and ingenuity: THANK YOU ALL, WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU KNOW YOU DID GOOD!!! Now, I just need to get my SuYin webcam working and it will all be close to perfect. I have installed MS Office, will be doing CS 4, and a few other things to make sure everything works....then, to start saving up, so I can get the Snow Leopard install disks...Amazon will do that... and soon, start gathering loot for A MacBook Pro...
