N2bonsky
Hey Guys, I am having some issues, and am hoping you can help. I have tried multiple installs of Mac on my PC, but am having the same problem. The mouse will not work for the install. My keyboard, and mouse are both PS/2, and would not work at first. So, I look online and everyone recommended used a ps/2 to usb cord, which I did. Now, when I go into the install, the keyboard works, but the mouse does not. Therefore, I am unable to move any further in the install. I am also a newb at this so be kind to me! J My stats are as follows, and I am currently using Kalyway 10.5.1 Foxconn A74MX-K AM2+/AM2 AMD 740G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard Athlon 64 X2 5000 Brisbane 2.6GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Sorry for the repost..I had originally put this in the wrong forum! popUP
i had this problem. i fixed it buy doing the following.. turn off pc by the wall wait 3 minutes so any power still left in the memory has gone...plug usb keyboard into the usbs on the botherboard. not a pci card or pci usb extension. bootup to disk wait and install mouse/keyboard should now work.if not do the same/ turn off and plug usb into another usb port/device. also if installation is unsucsessfull in any way click restart do now just turn pc off.as this will caulse the mouse and keyboard to not work. and you will have to un plug pc again and wait for any power still left in the motherboard to discharge Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/170806-mouse-issues-on-install/#findComment-1178413 Share on other sites
