Shingles
I'm buying a new laptop and I know I want to dual-boot Mac OS X and Windows Vista. I have always been a PC person but have nothing against buying a Mac. I want to buy a laptop with a screen no bigger than 14 inches and am probably going with an HP or a Mac. My main question is: is it better to dual boot on a Mac through Boot Camp or on a PC? Secondly, what specs should my laptop have in order to get the best dual booting experience? Thanks a lot! SMF
The easiest, most pain free way is to use a Mac laptop. If you use a non-Mac laptop you will have to be careful to pick one that readily supports OS X and you will still have to do some work to get OS X to install and Software Updates are not without some pain that might break hardware support for your hackintosh. With the new lower prices on Mac laptops they are closer in cost to non Mac hardware. Another consideration is which is going to be your primary system - Windows or OS X?
