1st hackintosh; hanging on reboot after install... help!

I am new here and attempting to build my first hackintosh by following these instructions: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=144020

 

I installed iAtkos, and it worked until it got to the part where it needed to reboot. In the directions posted above it says to skip the reboot, but I do not see how to do this. So I end up rebooting and then it just gets stuck on the screen with the apple logo and the spinning gear thing. I have reinstalled 4 times now, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Help would be fantastic, thanks.

Asus P5Q-E Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo Processer

Diamond Radeon HD 3850 Video Card - Viper 512MB

(is there anything else you need to know)

Boot with -v as the flag. You will be getting "still waiting for root device" errors most likely. Find the appropriate drivers for your mobo and try again. It took me 5 times to install the first time, only to turn around and install again.

You're not the only one with this problem. Apparently, iAtktos made, by an error, visible by the Installer Log near the end of the installation. This error consists in making all files and folders in the disc invisible. So, when you boot, it appears a Apple screen, and then a strange green with dark stripes. I'm searching for a way to correct this.
