I tried to install iPC 10.5.6 Universal PPF5 Final on my HP Pavilion dv2000 series lappy.

As I wanted a dual-boot config, I installed Windows XP Pro first, got Partition Magic to partition for my OS X install....

Then I installed iPC 10.5.6 Universal PPF5, the installation ran smoothly, but when the laptop rebooted after the install, I get a "still waiting for the root device" error.

I tried copying the ATA kexts, though it was for Leo4AllV4 version method, it still didnt work......

Does someone has the same case as mine.....anyone.....??? ;):(:(

Do some research on your chipsets. In the past almost every driver was a dirty hack just used to get a bootable drive, these days they are full of features and quite picky when loaded in bulk. If you search you will find 5-6 topics showing possible solutions, but I suggest you boot with -v and see if it ever decides to boot. Before I retroactively installed vanilla kexts, my HP laptop refused to accept any driver and I had to use verbose mode to get it to boot.
