gstlouis04
I've searched for days and can't seem to find any (working) answers that apply to my situation. I'm attempting to dual boot retail Leopard with Ubuntu (9.04 Jaunty) on my EEE 1000H. I installed Leopard first, successfully, booting with the Boot-132 disc. I then installed ubuntu and the grub bootloader. I used the PC EFI v9 method to boot Leopard from the grub boot menu. Every time I try to boot from grub, I can get to the apple logo, but I just get the spinning circle. I see the HD activity light working for about 30 seconds but then it stops. I left it running for a few hours last night to see if it eventually did anything and it just continues to spin. If I boot with the Boot-132 disc and choose 80 (hd 0) for the boot option, it boots into Leopard right away just fine. Booting with -v shows the text a bit too fast to read it all, but I am continuously getting "Package 0 didn't get an HPET". I've tried some of the usual steps for resolving this issue but they didn't work (or remove the message). Does anyone have any advice as to why this isn't working? I've been following the guide here.
