SCSI adaptec 2940AU & DAT tape drive on Leopard

Hi to all,

 

I hope I am not double-posting anything (the search bar produced errors)

 

I have an old adaptec 2940AU and a sony 20/40 GB dat tape drive and I want to make it work on my Leo4all v3 installation.

 

I have googled for related kexts and I see some posts about Adaptec78XXSCSI.kext on Tiger.

 

Please could you tell me if any of you manage to install successfully this driver to 10.5.X or inform me of any other alternatives?
