Hey, :D

First of all, sorry if this is a really bad question, I'm new to this and I'm stuck at the moment.

I've just installed the "Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD Intel_Amd (sse2/sse3) EFI V8" Release on my mac, using the vanilla kernel... with only a one problem (blank menus -anyone know a quick way to fix this?)...

So, what I'd like to do now is update to the lastest version of OS X if that's possible... but I'm not sure of the best way of doing this. The first time I tried it, using the "iDeneb Combo Upgrade KIT 10.5.7" which said, as I understood it, that I would be able to upgrade from any 10.5.XX to 10.5.7. So following the guide - which I think I did correctly - I'm not 100% sure, I installed the upgrade. However, when the system rebooted, I got an error, something to do with the AppleUSBEHCI driver, I've tried finding things to help me with this, but nothing seemed to work. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

Anyway, what I'm asking is, is there a better way to upgrade than the iDeneb combo kit?

Or if you know how to resolve the errors that I'm getting, would you help me understand how to fix them?

Thanks, I'd appreciate your help.

Oh and:

System Specs:

Asus P5QL Pro Motherboard

3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Quad (Q9650)

8GB Corsair DDR2 1066MHz RAM - (yes I know thats silly - I got carried away)

LG Super Multi Blue GGW-H20L (Blu-ray RW, HD DVD)

250GB Hitachi Sata drive...

320GB Seagate Sata drive...

512Mb Asus ENGTS250 Dark Knight (Gfx Card)

On board Sound and LAN work fine, Graphics are a bit dodgy because of the blank menu problem.
