saintmac
I'm using BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.iso, aka the generic boot-132. I am using Leopard Retail 10.5.6. My hardware is very generic: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L mobo Asus 8400GS graphics Intel Q8400 Core 2 Quad 4 GB RAM, SATA DVD and HD I boot off the CD, swap to Leo retail, and keep booting. It hangs on the Leopard star/sky screen with a spinning beach ball. I try booting with -x, -s, -f "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32", etc. and no change, no error messages. Can anyone help me? I think it's a kext problem on the boot 132 CD. Is there another CD image I can try? saintmac
Got it to work. The boot CD appeared to not be working. I found another one. I'll post more info when I get it stable. saintmac
There appear to be multiple different copies of the boot CD floating around. I found trying a new one helpful.
