Graphics and application freezing problems

I installed iDeneb 10.5.6 on my PC with the following specs:

 

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor 3 GHz 4 cores

512 KB L2 Cache

8 GB 1066 DDR2

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512mb

 

I finally managed to get osx to boot (only in safe mode) with the following installation changes:

 

No Audio driver

VIA/SIS/Marvel chipset

Voodoo kernel

Realtek ethernet driver

CPUs = 1 fix

1066 DDR2 fix

Seatbelt fix

NvInject 512mb

 

If I don't boot in safe mode, it hangs on a blue screen after booting. I downloaded the driver installer

here

but this and all other installers freeze a second or two after they open. Some other applications freeze like this too, such as software update. Any ideas why this might be happening?
