pepere Posted May 30, 2009 Share Posted May 30, 2009 this is for: Broadcom 440X ethernet cards, tested with an integrated BCM4401-B0. *fix: reset or clear powerdown control bit *fix: internal/external? phy *fix: interrupt, CRC32 generation, propers LED modes +cleanup/update. debug is enabled by default. install procedure: copy AppleBCM440XEthernet.kext to /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ don't forget to check the permissions, or simply run $ sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/IONetWorkingFamily.kext ..load the kext by hand (kextload) or simply reboot. Is this method work? I've updated from 10.5.5 to 10.5.7 with combo upgrade kit but the NIC bcm 440x doesn't work (while before the upgrade it works perfectly). Do you think that your solution is valid for me? Thanks a lot!
