Hello,

I'm Mark and I am new here :)

I have a Nec Versa P550 with the following specifications and I am wondering if I can install osx86 on it. And if so, which distribution I can use the best?

Nec Versa P550

Intel Pentium M 750 processor (1.86 Ghz, 2 MB cache, 533 Mhz FSB)

Intel 915PM chipset (Sonoma)

ATI Mobility Radeon X300

1024 MB (2*512 MB) internal memory (DDR SDRAM - 333 MHz)

100GB ( ST9100828A )

PHILIPS DVD+-RW SDVD8441

Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection

Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC

Blutonium BCM2035 Bluetooth 2.4 GHz Single Chip Transceiver

Texas Instruments PCI-4510 CardBus Controller

S-video

Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller

TouchChip Fingerprint Coprocessor

NX PAD [Mouse]

I hope this is enough information.

Can anyone help me or do I just have to try it out?

I found an other thread about the Nec P550 ( http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16175 ) but with that topic I still don't know if it will work..

I don't know how to check if my hardware might work, because the OSx86 Database goes about desktop hardware I think? And not about laptop hardware?
