ghostunix
I recently bought my wife an Aspire One 150 after she complained about me giving my daughter an old laptop I had just refreshed. She loves it but it is the only computer in the house, other than my work laptop and that is someone else's problem, that boots Windows on a regular basis. It's housemates are Intel Mac mini, Intel iMac, a PC running Ubuntu, Sunblade 100 running Solaris 9 and a Sunblade 150 running Solaris 10. I'm thinking of making the Aspire into a Hackintosh but one of her CRITICAL uses is AIM with audio and video. So using the built-in webcam and audio in iChat is mandatory. So, if those don't work, I won't even think about it. I really do not want to support any Windows platform but if I have to I will. I'm also looking at Ubuntu but she is already familiar with OS X so she will not have to learn yet another OS. She is a bit of a technophobe.
