cheesey_item
After searching for hours on here and on google I've still had no luck with getting my MSI US54SE II USB wireless dongle to work. I've been using the Realtek 8187 drivers as mentioned on the wiki. I've tried all the 10.5 drivers on theRealtek download page that various people have linked to (making sure to remove the old ones before I try the next). I've tried jpabferreira's solutions to no avail, The only thing I've managed to achieve from this is to kill my Ethernet, so now I have no Internet on my laptop. When I try running the Realtek WLAN config utility, it just bounces on the dock for ages without opening before hanging and I have to force quit. The device is recognised as a USB device, in system profiler it gives me: 54M.USB....... Version: 0.01 Bus power (mA): 500 Speed: up to 480 mb/s Manufacturer: Ralink Product ID: 0x2373 Vendor ID: 0x148f It just will not show up as an Ethernet or Airport card and the light on the device will not come on either. I'm running 10.5.2 on a Fujitsu Amilo Pro V3505 (The onboard wifi is Intel 3945 which I've tried before to get working and ended up giving up) Any suggestions guys?
