dooglex
Hi, Was using 10.5.6 with sound fine, upgraded to 10.5.7 and sound didn't work. I tried to install the sound driver again but accidentally installed the alc 888 one first, then the correct one ALC660-660vd and then hda enabler and still have no sound. When i reboot after fixing permissions i get an error message for hda enabler saying i should reinstall it. Is it a conflict? how to i remove all the drivers (or just the alc888 one) and start again? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166383-no-sound-in-1057-alc660/ Share on other sites

elfoiros
I updated my iDeneb 10.5.6 install to 10.5.7 and the sound stopped working (ALC883) For me, this file (VoodooHDA.kext.zip) solved the issue. Install it after what you will just have to disable mute mode in "System preference/ Sound /Output /..." You can try it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166383-no-sound-in-1057-alc660/#findComment-1156967 Share on other sites
