Hi all,

Just installed iDeneb 1.4 on my Abit IP35 PRO that has quad core 2.5Ghz Q9300 and 4GB ram

I got a poor score of 2563

Comparing my results:

Other results all greater than 4000!!:

Other info: I choose the 9.5 kernel and NVdarwin

Any ideas what could be causing the bad results?

Thanks

Weasel

You have an Intel Chipset and an Intel CPU. Why don't you use vanilla kernel??

Maybe that's the problem.

Use a vanilla kernel and use EFI strings for your devices to avoid using unnecesary kexts. That should help.

With my G31 chipset and a Core2 Duo E8400 I can pass the 4000+ on Geekbench withou a problem. And my system is inferior than yours. You should check that.

Cheers!!

Yay we all like a happy ending ;)

Turns out by leaving my motherboard on auto everything was bad!

I set it to manual using the same settings that the auto setting used and now I am getting 5418!!

Thanks for the kernel advice...may give that a go too. I was just following setting for setting an install somebody else did on the same motherboard....as I just gave up with Kalyway after 20,00 installs, trying to get from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 ;)
