deyoglitz Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 I am new to this and need a little help I installed kalyway 10.5.2 and it is stuck on the white and gray apple loading screen...I need some help on how to get it to work out of that screen... Here are some specks on my computer I got it off of qvc 2.60GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core 5200+, NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 430 chipset, 19" diag wide LCD dsply, 4GB DDR2 mem, 320GB SATA HD, 20X DVD+/-RW dual-layer drve, Integr NVIDIA GeForce 6100 graph, Integr 6-chan Realtek ALC662 snd crd, 2-piece multimdia speak, ZT dsktp kybrd, ZT dsktp opt mouse, Onboard 10/100 LAN, 56K v.2 modem, 19-in-1 card reader, Two PS/2 ports, D-sub, COM, LPT ports, 6 USB 2.0 prts, PCI Express slot, Two PCI slts, thx for the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166193-help-on-a-install/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

When you boot use the options -x -v. That will use safe mode and give you text output while it's booting. There's probably an error of some sort that will come up and you can go from there.
