imrazor
In the hopes of making my Thinkpad T60 fully functional as a Mac laptop, I recently swapped out the Intel 3945 wireless card for an IBM/Lenovo approved AR5004X card. It works, but it simply refuses to connect to my WAP (Dlink DIR-628) in WPA mode. I've tried WPA, WPA2, TKIP and AES, 802.11 a, g and n, and nothing seems to work. Fortunately, it does appear to like 802.11a in WEP128 mode, but I'm concerned about the security of my wireless network. Plus, if I'm the road, I won't be able to connect to most secure wireless networks. It doesn't appear to be hardware; in Windows XP the card connects with WPA fine. I've also tried deleting the extensions cache and repairing permissions, none of which did any good. Anybody get this card working with WPA? imrazor
I've found a partial fix to this problem here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...d&start=100 Essentially it involves using the Network Diagnostics app to connect to the wireless network instead of the Airport widget in the menu bar. It does work, but even so I appear to lose my network connection every so often. Anyway, thanks to chipxsd and all the others who posted to that thread.
