Kenu
Hi all, I'm interested in installing OS X 10.5 on my C-143XL, which is my tablet PC. I downloaded a Kalyway distro, and burned the ISO on a DVD. When booting, I did get a bit of error and it took a while on the boot screen to get to the GUI. (I noticed a few things; FireWire didn't recognize the security-level or something like that to the extent, and got the message coreRAIDserver stops responding.) Anyway, the screen goes gray, then loads the wallpaper and the beachball-like pointer, but that's it. No panel, no window. Nothing more...I could let it sit there for hours but no dice. I tried -v, -f-, -x, and -s, but nothing really happens. So what am I doing wrong? Should I use another distro (Leo4all, JaS)? I didn't add anything to the .iso I burned. Please help. Any help would be appreciated! Oh, and here are the specs for my Tablet PC: Maximum Resolution: 1280 x 768 Memory Type: DDR2 Memory Size: 4GB Memory Speed: PC2-5300 Memory Slots (Total): 2 Memory Slots (Filled): 2 Memory Slots (Available): 0 Maximum Memory Supported: 4GB (Up to 1 GB may not be available due to 32-bit operating system resource requirements) Capacity: 200GB Hard Drive Speed: 7200 RPM Lifestyle: Home & Student Condition: New Operating Systems: Windows Vista Ultimate Startup Operating System: Windows Vista™ Ultimate Platform: Notebook / Tablet PC Expansion Ports: 1 - Type II PC Card Slot Processor Brand: Intel Processor Class: Core 2 Duo Processor Type: Dual-Core Processor Speed: 2.40GHz Processor Number: T8300 Processor FSB: 800MHz Processor Cache: 3MB Additional Technologies: Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology Oh, and if I don't reply right away, it's because I'm at work. So please forgive me. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165912-installing-os-x-105-on-a-gateway-c-143xl/ Share on other sites
