Valcore Posted May 11, 2009 Share Posted May 11, 2009 Ok, got intrested in trying to run mac on my hp laptop. I have made a partition for OSX to use and i am using the iPc osX86 10.5.6 universal ppf5 final iso. I burnt the iso to a disk and tried a plain install and it froze. I tried again using the -f -v flags and it got to this screen: What do I do know? This is my first time even attempting something like this so i dont know if i am just doing something wrong or what, i know i didnt use any special boots or anything, ( not sure how to make them but i am searching forums) Any suggestions? Valcore Posted May 11, 2009 Author Share Posted May 11, 2009 Well small step forward i used the cpus=1 flag and i no longer get the cpu panic but now it stops at waiting for root device. I tried using the flag rd=disk0s2 and still no luck. For the mac partition i made it only 20gb in size, could that be causing a problem? I dont have much room on the hard drive in the laptop to spare but i do have space for another hd to be installed. Would that make any difference?
