Hey all,

I received a Gigabyte Touchnote T1028M tablet netbook yesterday, and I've been trying to even get into the OS X installer for the computer. Here was what I did:

- Upgraded the RAM in the computer to 2GB (BIOS recognized it)

- Switched out the internal HDD with a 32GB SSD

- Burned MSIWindOSX to a DVD with my MacBook Pro (I have purchased the family pack, and therefore have several unused licenses)

- Put it in my external CD/DVD drive, and booted the Gigabyte off that disk.

- I entered the boot options mode, put in "-v" for verbose boot, and hit enter.

- The installer seemed to load two or three files, but then kept giving an EBIOS error, more specifically "drive not ready"

- I let it sit and think about itself, and it would get farther along, but always go back to the EBIOS error. It then seemed to restart the copying process every time this error popped up, so I never got into the installer.

At this point, I decided to try and use my Transcend USB Key:

- I put the USB key in my Mac, repartitioned it as 1 Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) with MBR.

- I used Disk Utility to "Restore" it to the mounted MSIWindOSX.iso disk.

- I put it in the Gigabyte, and started up from it.

- The Gigabyte gave the error "Please insert a bootable disk and press any key." After several presses of keys, it seemed like this was not going to work

- I used OSX86Tools to install Chameleon EFI on the USB, then tried booting from it. Same error.

- I then used OSX86Tools AGAIN to install the EFI v8. Same error.

I am now totally confused as to how to get this to work. I am open to solutions involving the CD/DVD drive or the USB key.

Any advice?
