Hi all,

First off I wanted to say thanks for the great work that has gone into making this happen. Can't wait to get my install up and going. :censored2:

The issue I'm having is that the installer isn't allowing me to install to the HD. For clarity I have an Alienware laptop that came with Vista and I added Ubuntu to it. When I get to the disk utility I can't seem to get a partition going that OS X likes. I've left a 25GB space and tried to get it to format it but it won't. The existing partitions can't be mounted and give an error "Mount failed. Try running first aid." That literally does nothing. I've tried formatting as JFS from Ubuntu and also NTFS and FAT 32.

I'm more than willing to sacrifice Ubuntu if it is causing the problem. I'm far from a 'NIX expert so its possible I'm missing something although I have followed the tuts and have searched to see if others have had a similar issue. Its frustrating as it seems to be almost to the point of copying files and it does see the HD. It just won't allow me to get a parition going that it likes.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
