After doing as much research as my small brain could, I decided to go out and purchase a copy of OS X Leopard and attempt to install it on my PC with the help of these forums and other various articles.

I thought that I could do this, as the instructions located at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113288 seemed fool proof. Sadly, that wasn't the case.

So I'm sitting here still running Windows and hating it so much I could rip what little hair I have left out while I attempt to figure out what's going on.

I've booted up using both the Generic Boot-132 and the jmicron version. I get to the 'boot:' prompt and switch in the retail Leopard DVD. I hit enter and the grey apple logo screen appears with the swirling load animation. The DVD runs for a while then stops and I get the 'NO' sign. (You know... the circle with a line through it) What am I doing wrong? Will my system not support OS X? Here are my specs:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-965P-S3

Processor: E6300 Core 2 Duo at 1.86ghz

RAM: 2 gigs of PC 6400 800mhz

GFX: Nvidia 7900 GS 256MB

HDD: WD1600BB 160GB IDE

Any help at all here gentlemen? What am I missing? If anyone could walk me through this or point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks for any info and taking the time to read/respond.
