Ok finally got this going.

It's a Geforce 8200 based system. Gigabyte m78sm-s2h.

I couldn't get it to play with disks without setting them to AHCI mode.

I couldn't get it to use any of the nivida drivers. Declicking all video driver options during install got it to go.

When I booted it hung up on the transfer stuff from another mac backup etc, and I used the boot -y -v "Graphics Mode"="640x480x32" and it booted and I set up the user account.

No network. It uses the Realtek 8211b network chip which is just crazy that it doesn't work.

No sound. It uses ALC888 chip and I haven't found a compatible player on the install list.

About this mac won't show cpu type but that's alright. It's AMD 4850e.

Insall went fine with 1st AMD patch and sleep kernel.

Uses my monitor at 1024x768 and it's native rez is WXGA 1440x900 and nothing seems to let you change it.

Now I just have no idea what to do next. How to get sound and network working. I installed most of the koolstuff apps. I just need any possible kexts that might work with that equipment and how to get them on the system. I can get access to my XP partition from OS/X but it won't touch my linux partition which is just ext3. I guess mac doesn't like pretending it's not a version of unix which should know how to handle that stuff.
