Laundry list of problems/questions, be great if someone can help with 1 or 3! ;)

Hi all.. I've got a couple of questions/problems tht would be great if someone on the forums knew the answer to.

 

I've got a VAIO laptop (VGN-FW21L) and im trying to get the right setup on it.

 

1: in the SMBIOS Enablers, which is better, EFI (for desktops) or EFI AIR (for laptops)? this sounds dead stupid as ive already said ive got a laptop, but ive tried both, and the only noticable difference is if i use AIR, in system profiler some of the categories show errors where otherwise they would not in the dektop efi. If there is no clear advantage to the AIR one, il just use the desktop EFI.

 

2: I cannot get leopard to notice that my laptop IS a laptop (regardless of the SMBIOS mentioned above). Sometimes whilst installing, the taskbar shown in installation will have a battery icon, but when the OS is installed, it isnt present. Can anyone give advice with that?

 

3: This is least important out of the three but it still matters: My wifi (intel link 5100) and graphics card (mobility radeon 3470) dont work, and dont have any drivers coded for them. Im an experienced PC user, but have not done much programming before. I know I am not the only person who needs these drivers but if someone can provide me with some info, i'd be happy to make an attempt at creating a driver, as i have a lot of free time on my hands recently.

Bumping... even if just to add this statement = PLUS i'v got a laptop worth around £550 here.. if i sold it, what would be the best possible laptop or desktop to get that can run macosx86? a graphics card memory of 256mb upwards is a high priority too
