How do i install osx 10.5.6 or 10.6 from hard drive without an existing installation? (i have a boot disk 10.5.2)

I'm trying to install osx without having to burn a dual layer dvd. Is there anyway to just copy the files to my laptop hard drive?

 

I have the iPC version iso of 10.5.6 universal and also a 10.6 iso build 10A286

 

I've got a burned install disk for 10.5.2 that lets me boot into the console an disk utility and all that stuff.

 

And I can copy these iso's to the laptop hard drive by throwing it in my windows box, but I don't know where to go from there?
