Mike_501
Ive been having trouble installing Leo4All on my laptop. I got the install finished, but when it goes to boot off the HDD it never does, ive had lots of other errors ive fixed already, but this one boggles me haha. before i give the details here are the specs and the drivers and stuff that i installed from the "customize" menu: Acer Aspire 4520 AMD Turion 64 x2 (2.0Ghz) Nvidia 7000m onboard graphics Atheros 5007 Wifi 2gb RAM 120GB HDD formated as HFS+ named 'AcerOSX' Using Leo4Allv2 10.5.2 Sata mode set to AHCI for install and boot (only way it works) Drivers loaded on install: Kernel 9.2.0 -it says i MUST install this for an AMD machine, so i did :censored2: haha AMD-System-Fix -my first install i ignored this driver and i would get the SIGSEGV code 0 error Nforce 2/3/4/5 chipset driver -im pretty sure i have this chipset haha Azalia Audio -i read on another post that this makes the onboard audio work (havent tried yet tho) Just to be clear, ive NEVER got into leopard yet, im still on the restart after install. I repaired disk permissions, did the "fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0" MBR thing tried booting with cpus=1 , -legacy, -v -s -x -r -f in a bunch of combos lol the kernel panic i get has a bunch of hex-looking adresses on them, and theres a line that reads ""Backtrace terminated-invalid framepointer 0 kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependancies) com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (9.25.0)"" then it says the kernel version and the system model name (Acer 4520) this has been bugging me for a while any help would be awesome, thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/164647-intel-cpu-power-driver-kernel-panic/ Share on other sites

Beerkex'd
You need to pick something under custom install that disables AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext. Mike_501
theres nothing like that in the customize install list. ive tried to remove the kext via terminal before but it still has that error (it probly never got removed). anyways i did a reinstall of osx with JUST the Kernal 9.2.0 and i got a SIGSEGV code 0 error (tried booting with "CPUS=1" with no progress) then i installed again with the AMD-system fix and now it crashes a few seconds into booting off the HDD. Im gonna do an intense google session tonite. but if anyones had any luck with the Acer 4520 pleeeeeeease lemme know how you did it.
