mikeh420 Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 I've tried several versions of osx86 and seem to get the farthest with either iDeneb 10.5.6 or XxX 10.5.6. The last line of text on boot from HDD is: Mac Framework Successfully Installed using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers Would trying different kernels help? I have tried Voodoo 9.5.0, Speedstep 9.2.0 and Stage 9.4.0 so far I have: Biostar G31-M7TE m/b with Intel G31/ICH7 chipset Pentium Dual Core E5200 2.5GHz 2GB PC6400 RAM Seagate 500GB SATA (SATA Device 1) Samsung DVDR IDE (Master on Primary Ch) Realtek 8102 NIC (using R1000 patch) Realtek ALC 662 6ch Sound (tried ALC662 and ALC 888 patches) using "cpus=1 -v -x" at command line any tricks or hints would be greatly appreciated thanx in advance - Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/164371-stuck-at-using-10485-buffer-headers-on-startup/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
kazzi Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Boot from linux, copy the file /proc/acpi/dsdt Using iasl for windows to decompile the file to .dsl Remove CPU aliases from the sources and replace all the occurrence in the .dsl (CPU0 to P001 for example) Recompile the .dsl file with CPU aliases removed, you'll have DSDT.aml (case sensitive) Using MacDrive to copy that file from Windows to your Mac drive. Then you'll boot fine. Alternate but more dangerous method, you can find a modded version of your BIOS from osrom.net.
