I've tried several versions of osx86 and seem to get the farthest with either iDeneb 10.5.6 or XxX 10.5.6. The last line of text on boot from HDD is:

Mac Framework Successfully Installed

using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

Would trying different kernels help? I have tried Voodoo 9.5.0, Speedstep 9.2.0 and Stage 9.4.0 so far

I have:

Biostar G31-M7TE m/b with Intel G31/ICH7 chipset

Pentium Dual Core E5200 2.5GHz

2GB PC6400 RAM

Seagate 500GB SATA (SATA Device 1)

Samsung DVDR IDE (Master on Primary Ch)

Realtek 8102 NIC (using R1000 patch)

Realtek ALC 662 6ch Sound (tried ALC662 and ALC 888 patches)

using "cpus=1 -v -x" at command line

any tricks or hints would be greatly appreciated

thanx in advance - Mike

Boot from linux, copy the file /proc/acpi/dsdt

Using iasl for windows to decompile the file to .dsl

Remove CPU aliases from the sources and replace all the occurrence in the .dsl (CPU0 to P001 for example)

Recompile the .dsl file with CPU aliases removed, you'll have DSDT.aml (case sensitive)

Using MacDrive to copy that file from Windows to your Mac drive.

Then you'll boot fine.

Alternate but more dangerous method, you can find a modded version of your BIOS from osrom.net.
