markm75
Hoping someone can help on a few of these questions.. they are probably pretty basic.. I have leopard 10.5.5 running on vmware 6.5.2.. Everything seems ok, except that i'm not sure if i should be running in bridged or nat mode.. i'm on nat mode, so the ip address subnet isnt the same as the network i'm on, i think this is why i cant connect to shares by name, but by ip... I also dont have an audio driver.. or the ability to cut and paste from the host (because vmware tools doesnt work or install).. is there some way around either of these? Also.. the OS reports updates are available.. should i Not update, even in a VM.. or update everything except OS related updates? If not on the OS, then is there a 3rd party osx project udpater out there? Finally.. is there some way to take a working virtual harddisk image in vmware and copy that to a second partition on a pc's harddrive to dual boot.. or is the only way to start from scratch with say an ideneb bootable CD.. and install this way.. then dual boot vista/osx? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/163483-newbie-questions-on-leopard-updates-drivers-vmware/ Share on other sites
