wolfiebear
I have the same problem. I finally get what appears to be a "good" build, (iPC OSx86 10.5.6) except now 7/8 of my 10 USB ports freeze up. It is especially sensitive to a powered USB device, such as my printer or external DVD burner. (clue?) I am NOT a geek, and bought this machine with promises of full, long term support....but they dropped out of sight along with the promised back-up OS disk. ..... Creating a bootable back-up had been a problem....the original disk went bad,so now I am on my own. Okay - don't have a clue as to what he used to build the original system...... but after much trial and error, my new build appears to now have virtually the same extensions as the original, (and generally runs with less glitches than the one I bought. Got wireless, sleep, Time Machine, etc...) but the original set-up is fine with the USB, and my new set-up gives me the black screen when I try and plug in USB devices.
