Luigi_Mora
Hello, My girlfriend is in possession of a Compaq C500 notebook (C500ED). At the moment she's using Windows Vista Home Basic, but it's horribly slow. So I'm planning to do a fresh install of Leopard 10.5.6 on it for her. I've figured out she has a Conexant/Intel HD-audio device in her notebook. I know there's the AppleAzalia.pkg to make the sound work through the speakers, but I would like her to be able to use the headphone jack. I've been googling around and found some indications that there's a driver in the form of a modified AppleHDA.kext which makes it able to switch through speakers and headphones. Is there a possibility to make the headphones work on the C500 and would it eventually be an option to use VoodooHDA on this notebook? Thnx in advance, I'm eagerly awaiting your response.
