demonx2381
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 running OS X 10.5.6. Prior to 10.5.6, I had gone through all of the OS patches since 10.5.2 (Kalyway) and never had this problem before. I had trouble doing an upgrade, so I switched to iPC and did a fresh install of 10.5.6 using the tutorial on http://www.macyourpc.com/. Now, my computer occasionally goes to sleep (actually hibernate or whatever) and the system console reports emergency overtemp. I have tried removing AppleCPUThermo.kext, AppleHWSensor.kext, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, AppleThermal.kext, and SMARTLib.kext. I have tried installing VoodooPower.kext and VoodooUSBUHCI.kext (as I am having problems with sleep now too, didn't have them before) from Superhai. After a few google searches, all I have found was a problem with actual macbooks with a broken sensor to the left of the trackpad. I am dual-booting with linux. Please help as this is starting to happen at really inconveinent times, ex. school presentations.
