rsilves
Hi. I am writing because I got a bit confused after trying to understand the different kernels, how to make my computer sleep, and how to enable throttling, all at once. I have a P5W DH Deluxe with a Q6600. Installed from Kalyway 10.5.0 then updated over the time, now in 10.5.6. Today I downloaded the Voodoo 9.5 Release 1 Revision A kernel (the installer package), installed, restarted and it all went fine. But I got stuck here and don't know how to continue to enable throttling and sleep. Maybe you can help me. The functions on which I am interested are: - Sleep (when I send it to sleep, it immediatly turns off (maybe waits a second or two before). But seems to have some working part, because if I click or press a key it turns on (blank screen anyway, need to reset), but somehow the computer understood some kind of "sleep" message. - CPU Throttling (being able to control the speed of the CPU with an applications). - Fan Speed control with an app. Thanks and luck! Cupid
Use vanilla kernel and install IntelEnhancedSpeedStep.kext OR VoodooPower.kext. You can find in the forum.
