well have you even gotten the kext for it? download if from a realtek website. or search google for one. message me back to tell me if that was the problem.

NOTE TO ADMINS: I KNOW THIS IS IN THE WRONG FORUM, BUT I HAVE A HELPFUL ANSWER FOR THE ORIGINAL POSTER. PLEASE MOVE THIS TO THE APPROPRIATE FORUM HERE :-), AND DON'T DELETE IT. THANKS!

I have the same motherboard. Kalyway 10.5.2 is great. Stick with it.

Kalyway installs Kext Helper in your applications folder. I'm attaching the sound kext files for you. Unzip them, and drag-drop them onto Kext Helper. Put in your password, click on the Easy Install button, and reboot. You'll have sound input and output. The green jack on the back panel of your motherboard will be selectable as "Internal Speakers" in the Sound Preference Pane. The red Microphone jack will be identified as "Internal Microphone" in the Sound Preference Pane. I'm using a microphone that came with an Asus motherboard, and it's fine.

You may need the internet fix, as well. I had internet out of the box with that board and Kalyway 10.5.2, but I needed to install the Realtek 1000 driver in order to get Bonjour support. I couldn't see any of the other machines on my local network until I installed the driver. The thread for it with a link to the download page is here:

PCWiz has written an excellent control-center utility that can install all of the fixes for your GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard from one single, handy place. You should read his entire site. He was a big help to me when I built my Hacky around this board (he has one with the same motherboard). Check his utility out (but be careful with it) Here:http://######.com/index.php?option=...4&Itemid=48

PCWiz wrote an excellent guide on installing Kalyway 10.5.1 and updating it to Kalyway 10.5.2, with links to all of the necessary fixes. You should read this guide, and bookmark it. There is a whole lot of useful information in there . To date, the system that I installed using that guide has been the absolutely most stable installation that I have had on this machine.

I'm running iDeneb 10.5.5 right now, and it's almost as good, but I've had some weird incompatibilities with old install packages under 10.5.5. I think I'm going to go back to 10.5.4 via Kalyway 10.5.1 - this was the best system I ever used on a Hackintosh. It just runs great.

Good luck! Feel free to PM me with any questions. Sorry about all the information - hopefully, it'll help someone else out down the line. Cheers!

UPDATE: I just found THIS guide to installing 10.5.4 on PCWiz's website. I'm going to try it out; you should try it, too, before you get too settled into your new boot drive!
