First off, lets start off with some specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+

Chipset: nForce 500 SLI

Video: GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB

RAM: 6GB DDR2

Drivers:

Chipset: MeDevil's nForceATATest.kext

Video: EFI String via EFI Studio

Ethernet: en0's nForce ethernet drivers

Other potentially useful information:

Bootloader: Chameleon 2.0 RC1

Using iPC OS X86 10.5.6 Final (with the 1.1 PPF applied)

Kernel: Voodoo 1.0 (9.5.0 kernel)

AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext is removed

seatbelt.kext patch has been applied

Using AppleSMBiosEFI.kext

Anytime I attempt to install a .pkg or .mpkg, Installer.app launches and just freezes shortly afterwards.

At first I thought it was due to one of my driver kexts as it works just fine in safe boot, but after removing and replacing any driver kexts that could have been the possible offenders and booting without -x, Installer.app would still freeze unless in safe boot.

I'm not sure what could be causing this, but has anyone else had this issue before? Am I missing something, and is there a way to fix this?
