slypete Posted April 11, 2009 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Hi, I have a P35C-DS3R motherboard. I installed using the retail DVD guide for this board. However, I cannot see my two 250GB IDE drives. If I boot to my kalyway install, I can see the drives just fine. Is there some kext that I'm missing? I used PCWiz's application for this board, and it says the JMicron IDE driver is installed, but yet the disks are still not showing up in Disk Utility. madwh Posted April 11, 2009 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Are you using ahci or ide mode for storage devices in bios? If you want to change that and actually make it do something you have to reinstall with whichever is new, ahci or ide. I don't think any changes to my BIOS are necessary since I can boot to my kalyway install using the same settings. In kalyway, the IDE drives show up just fine.
