Himavanth
I am Mac user experienced user but coming to PC i am not right so i tried to install OSX on PC on to my brother's and to my friend's Acer Aspire 5920 , Acer Aspire 5150 Series and Compaq Persario V3000 series all the PC's were laptops In the above PC one laptop was successful it's not so easy.. I just had my unlimited Internet last month so i downloaded (Kalyway 10.5.2) which was for both Intel and AMD and I also had the (Boot132) .. with me 1st try Acer Aspire 5920 Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo , 2GB RAM , 160GB HDD, Intel Graphics Card.. i started with as easier way of installing using (Boot 132) .. the Apple Mac OS X Retail just booted and freeze with Apple logo and spinning wheel stuck... it was hanged and i tried and tried but nothing has happen and after few months like last i downloaded (Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel and AMD) i made bootable of kalyway and try to install on the laptop it startup with verbose mode at (BSD 4 major and 4 minor ) it got stuck again 2nd try on Compaq Persario V3000 Specs: AMD X2, 512MB RAM, 160 HDD, nVIDA Graphics card... But with Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel and AMD this time it got stuck saying (waiting for root device)......... Trying again on Acer Aspire 5920 using the (Boot132 CD) after as it prompts the OS X DVD i inserted the (Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD) it booted normally and came up with installing options from lang to where to install.... i installed it clean but made some mistakes like adding Graphics Drivers and all and it failed, sometimes with not working of the touchpad and the other time it said connect the keyboard.... but at last finally without changing any settings in (Kalyway DVD) kept the default options and installed.. fine.. and very thing was all right but a few like it didn't detect the (Ethernet and headphone-in port i use it for 5.1 speaker system) .. Not a major problem for but it was my brother's he uses PC only to listen music thru it.. I tried same thing in Compaq Persario V3000... it played alot with me it never worked right.. and atlast the installation window came in and tried to install in it stopped when it was (Still 8 min ... to complete .. at down to progress bar) i thought due to changing of some default settings like graphic card.. i tried it agin with the default settings to kalway DVD this time stopped at 12 min to go.. ... I did this whole process for two day .. i think because of the AMD processor.... 3rd Try Today... I downloaded a package for AMD it was (Leo4allv4.1) AMD version i started yesterday night.... on Acer Aspire 5150 Series Specs: AMD Athlon X2, 3GB Ram, 140 HDD, ATi Radeon Xpress™ 1200(i know no bcauze i am trying since yesterday) this was my friends laptop i said u will see Mac on PC on u r PC.. but .. i didn't make it.. i had many hopes on (Leo4allv4.1 AMD) because it was an AMD version and my friends PC was the right one to install in.. same here as the above problems Leo4all DVD booted but freezed with Apple logo... i tried it with Boot132 and after that Leo4all DVD it was installed fine but with graphic card extension, no sound, no capability of playing a video.... i tried again with Boot132 and after kalyway DVD same here installed fine but it came up with volume in the menu bar but no sound, no good resolution due to the graphics card... and went back it same old Windows with eRecovery Backup.... So guys can u give me a suggestions to what to download and what to do.... to installed OS X on the remaining to PC's and recovering the ethernet on the other.. my name is Himavanth B, India.. PowerBook G4, OS X Leo 10.5.6, 512MB RAM crying 80GB and disgusting combodrive....... even though i love my powerbook and leopard.. pls friends send me some suggestions, ok sorry for my bad English.. and for reading a big message..... bye...........
