madwh
I have the same motherboard and processor, took me five days but I finally got it to work. Make sure you select ahci mode for storage devices in bios (I had to reinstall vista so that I can boot with ahci and not always have to switch back to ide in bios) also try ideneb 10.5.6 first (you know where to find it), all other distributions I had the problem with "still waiting for root device", only ideneb worked. Another big waste of time was when I didn't format my hdd with eithr guid or mbr, the default is apple partition scheme which didn't work for me. You have to format hfs+ journaled and with guid partition scheme even if you let's say have just 1 hdd with 1 partition with only leopard and no windows. In disk utility after you format select your hdd and go to the partiton tab and select 1 partition and then you can change the partition scheme from the options button. To dual boot I used easybcd a program in vista and a file tboot that actually made it work. If after you install gives you some errors about some kexts try to boot from dvd into hdd. First go in terminal from setup and type diskutil list and you'll see your where your leopard is installed, something like 1s1 or something like that. Then boot from dvd again and type -v rd=disk1s1 (or whatever you have) then you boot in leopard and delete or fix what errors gives you so that you can then boot normally without dvd. I'm trying to help because everyone seems so stupid and not willing to help and because I spent so much time to make this work. If you have questions just ask and I'll try to help.
