Well I cannot access single user mode on stat up with "-s"

My system is hanging at boot and I'm trying to do this to repair my permissions to try and get it to boot.

try boot "-s", the check boot volume, mount for write-read access, and then:

cd /System/Library
chmod -R 755 Extensions/
chown -R root:wheel Extensions/
touch Extensions/
rm -Rf Extensions.mkext
diskutil repairpermissions /

and reboot using "-v -f" flags

Well I'm rebooting with "-s" and its just booting like normal and hanging at this.
