Hi, I am trying to install osx on my computer, but when I try to run the install I can't get past this screen that says: (System config file '/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found) - It says that for just a second when I hit a key to continue. Then it give me the option to press F8 or it will do it on it's own automatically. After that it says: Use up down keys to select the startup volume. Under that it gives me only one option: hd(111,0) Apple_HFS. Under that it gives me the option to press enter or -v. I did both options to no avail. What do I have to do?

I am really stuck.

Which release are you using/trying to use? I just had to do a fresh install yesterday and I got the 'com.apple.boot.plist not found' at least once, which obviously is wrong because if you're booting from an install disc, unless it's not a working version, it has to have it. However, it will sometimes come up in error. The option of hd(111,0) is correct, that's the disc drive, but it seems odd that the name is just apple_HFS. Usually the discs have a name of "iAtkos Leopard install dvd", "iPCx86 MacOSX install" or something that's a bit more like that.
